Zairong Xiang, Curator
is the curator of the minor cosmopolitan weekend. He is postdoctoral research fellow at potsdam university with the DFG Research Training Group “minor cosmopolitanisms” and the author of Queer Ancient Ways: A Decolonial Exploration (2018, punctum books). He holds a cotutelle Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen and Université de Perpignan Via Domitia, and was a research fellow at the ICI Berlin.
Lina Fricke, Finance and Logistics
is the assistant coordinator to the RTG Minor Cosmopolitanisms. She completed her Master’s degree at the University of Potsdam in the Anglophone Modernities program.
Monica Gutierrez, Web Design and Public Relations
is an academic assistant to the RTG Minor Cosmopolitanisms and a Master’s student in the Anglophone Modernities program at the University of Potsdam. She created the website and co-manages the Public Relations for the RTG.
Joanna Louise Mackenthun, Visual Design and Public Relations
is an academic assistant to the RTG Minor Cosmopolitanisms and a Master’s student in the Anglophone Modernities program at the University of Potsdam. She created the artwork of all the speakers and co-manages the Public Relations for the RTG.

Lars Eckstein, Collaborator
is a spokesperson for the RTG Minor Cosmopolitanisms and a professor of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures outside of Great Britain and the U.S. at the University of Potsdam. He’s taught at Tübingen and the University of New South Wales in Sydney. Between 2012 and 2015 he was vice-president of GAPS (Association for Anglophone Postcolonial Studies).
Dirk Wiemann, Collaborator
is a spokesperson for the RTG Minor Cosmopolitanisms and a professor of English Literature at the University of Potsdam. In 1998, he received his PhD in Comparative Literature for a dissertation on Anglophone exilic literature in Great Britain 1933-1945, funded by a grant from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. He’s held visiting professorships at the English and Foreign Languages University Hyderabad (India), the University of Delhi, and the University of Magdeburg. He’s also the director of the bilateral research and exchange network “Writing the Cosmopolitan Imagination: Genre Transactions in World-Literary Space” with the University of Delhi.
Anja Schwarz, Collaborator
is a local supervisor to the RTG Minor Cosmopolitanisms and a professor of British Cultural Studies at the University of Potsdam. She has previously taught at the University of Konstanz and the Freie Universität Berlin. She currently co-directs the German-Australian research group “German Anthropological Legacies in Australia” (DAAD-Universities Australia). In 2015 she was was appointed as the German research expert to the Australia Germany Advisory Group.
Nicole Waller, Collaborator
is a local supervisor to the RTG Minor Cosmopolitanisms and a professor of American Studies at the University of Potsdam. After finishing her Ph.D. in American Studies from Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz she’s held numorous professorships such as at Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz (Juniorprofessur), Georg-August-University Göttingen (as interim professor), and Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg.
Regina Römhild, Collaborator
is a local supervisor to the RTG Minor Cosmopolitanisms and a Professor of Cultural Anthropology at the Institute of European Ethnology at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. She is the co-founder of the Interdisciplinary Centre of Transnational Border Studies at Humboldt-Universität and the related Interdisciplinary Research Colloquium on Border Studies and Critical Migration Research and a co-founding member of the Berlin Institute of Empirical Migration Studies (BIM).
